Yoga and Meditation Retreat, Byron Bay
with Paul Wooden
From Pratyahara to Samadhi – The psychology of awakening.
Understanding the psychological teachings of yoga adds a profound dimension to our practice. Yoga psychology offers subtle and powerful insights into the nature of mind and helps reveal to us the specific ways we fixate and identify with emotional and mental habits.
By recognizing the self-contracting tendencies of energy, emotion and mind in the moment to moment reality of our lives we are better placed to start the deep and intimate inner work of yoga. We will explore the often neglected path from Pratyahara to Samadhi both experientially and theoretically and inquire into what it takes to release and open to the always available luminous ground of being.
Paul Wooden has been practicing and studying yoga and meditation for over 25 years and teaching for 20yrs. He draws from his experience in many different styles and traditions and through a practical understanding of their underlying unifying principles, weaves together a cohesive and integrated approach to yoga. Paul is a unique voice in the world of yoga and has a way of bringing the sometimes abstract teachings of yoga into ordinary language, making them accessible and workable in our lives. He has been running retreats for many years and finds them fertile ground for real transformation.
Retreat cost $940 all inclusive ¬ bookings essential.
