Daku Resort Fiji
Daku Resort is a small, comfortable resort on Fiji’s northern island Vanua Levu. Set in beautiful tropical gardens in an old coconut plantation, it enjoys wonderful views over Savusavu Bay and has a profound feeling of tranquillity and joy. It is owned by two former guests who fell in love with the place many years ago, seduced by the friendly atmosphere of this unchanged corner of Fiji. The staff at Daku will welcome you like family and help make your stay an unforgettable experience.
The yoga weeks at Daku are lead by teachers from Australia, New Zealand, the US and Hong Kong, and offer a wide range of yoga styles. Most programmes are structured around two daily practices with plenty of time to enjoy the spa facilities, walk in the rainforest, snorkel on the reef, explore the local Fijian culture – or just relax by the pool. The sessions take place in a spacious wooden shala set amidst the raintrees on the lower slope of a hill, and command a sweeping view of the bay.
Meals are taken together in the big bure beside the pool – a tropical breakfast of fresh fruit, juice, cereals and toast; a light lunch, and a sumptuous buffet dinner with salads, vegetarian, seafood and chicken in a range of cuisines – Fijian, Indian, Chinese and international.
Cost: A$2280 per person twin share – includes domestic airfare Nadi-Savusavu return, accommodation, all meals, excursions as shown on the programme and course fees.
